I almost stepped on this little visitor, half hidden in a patch of wooly thyme. His friend was uncovered when I hacked back the remains of the sweet autumn clematis, but I didn't take her photo, as she was stuck on the house siding along with an ugly mess of old leaves. Don't use pesticides, so you can have more garden visitors.

On first glance I thought it was a rock! I've never seen a frog of that color and markings. great photo. Happy GTS,

I'm not surprised - I thought it was a photo of a rock at first!!!
what a cool garden friend! Happy GTS!
I never use pesticides in my gardens. I don't know what I'll do when the fire ants hit hard this year! But with my dogs and cat that goes out, I have to really watch what I put in my yard. Toxic plants included!

THey do tend to blend right in, don't they? I've almost stepped on a few also.

He's great! I haven't come across any frogs around my house but if I do, you'll probably hear me yell lol!
Happy GTS :)
We have many of these little garden visitiors. Every year it seems more show up. In the past they have been so loud I needed to close the windows to talk on the phone. Oh, well they move out to the " back 40" after a few weeks. My husband told me he sees the same toad, every year in the same hiding place??? Not sure this is possible, but he likes to think so....
